Virgin Mobile Finds Home In Missouri, Plans 100 New Jobs

Man using his Mobile Phone in the street, bokehVirgin Mobile has announced the signing of a long-term lease in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, and plans to hire 100 new employees. In July of last year Virgin Mobile announced the relocation of the company’s headquarters to Missouri.

The additional employees will more than double the amount of Missouri employees originally pledged by Virgin Mobile when they announced the expansion.

“Kansas City is a national hub of entrepreneurial spirit and sophisticated startups, which is the perfect backdrop for our new office as we evolve the Virgin Mobile brand and elevate it to new heights,” said Dow Draper, Virgin Mobile CEO. “Also, this innovation district is a natural setting for a bold brand like Virgin, which does things differently and changes business for good.”

The choice to move to Missouri is part of Virgin Mobile’s plan to re-launch the company under Sprint.

With its strategic location, globally connected infrastructure, competitive business and labor costs, highly-skilled and hard working talent, quality of life and a statewide commitment to attracting companies and investment, Missouri is a place where companies come to grow and thrive.
