Missouri Wins 2018: Faurecia Breaks Ground On $60 Million Facility In Blue Springs

All month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at some of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year, and today we are taking a look back at Faurecia’s expansion in Blue Spring, Missouri.

Faurecia, a leading automotive technology company developing solutions for sustainable mobility and smart life on board, began construction on its new $60 million production facility in Blue Springs in June, 2018. The new 250,000 sq. ft. facility is Faurecia’s third facility in Missouri and will manufacture and assemble door panels and instrument panels using the latest technologies.

“Blue Springs has the right people with the right expertise, which enables Faurecia to continue our strong growth in North America,” said Donald Hampton Jr., president of Faurecia Interiors in North America. “This opportunity is greatly attributed to the exceptional partnerships we enjoy with community leadership, and the highly motivated and skilled workforce in this state.”
