Barnes-Jewish Hospital ranked among the nation’s top 20 hospitals in annual Best Hospitals 2018-2019 ranking, by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish tied at No. 11, with Mayo Clinic Phoenix, while coming in at first in the St. Louis region as well as Missouri.
“This national honor shows how BJC hospitals provide world-class health care to people from all over the country,” said BJC President and CEO Rich Liekweg.
Other Missouri hospitals on the list included St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City taking the number two slot for Missouri, with BJC’s Missouri Baptist Medical Center at number three in Missouri and number two in the St. Louis region. Mercy Hospital St. Louis ranked number three in the St. Louis region, with St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield at number four, BJC’s Memorial Hospital-Belleville at number five, and St. Anthony’s Medical Center, part of the Mercy health system, ranked number six in the region.
