The Kraft Heinz Company Cuts The Ribbon On New $250 Million Missouri Facility

The Kraft Heinz Company held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new $250 million expanded facility in Kirksville, Missouri. The 450,000 sq. ft. expansion was first announced in June 2016, and is expected to add more than 200 new jobs to the region.

The plant added seven new production lines and will be Kraft Heinz’s sole domestic producer of bologna, white round turkey, cotto salami and square-cut ham, with an estimated output of nearly one million packages per day.

Missouri’s robust food production sector includes more than 300 companies, with the capacity for many more, due to Missouri’s leading role in agricultural products including rice, soybeans, corn, sorghum, cattle, turkeys and hogs.
