Watlow Electric Manufacturing Co., one of St. Louis’ largest privately-held companies, plans to expand its Maryland Heights headquarters for the first time in decades.
The project will add an additional 30,000 square feet to the company’s existing 180-000-square-foot building, at 12001 Lackland Road. The company also plans to remodel 60,000 square feet of existing space.
The $30 million expansion is to develop an Advanced Technology Center (ATC), in which Watlow hopes to solve some of the problems vexing the thermal manufacturing industry.
