Washington University lead on $32 million NIH grant to study infections

Washington University is part of a multi-institutional collaboration that has received a $32 million grant from the National Institute of Health to study a newly-recognized cellular defense against infection.

The collaborative, which also includes Massachusetts General Hospital, the Broad Institute and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, will be working toward creating new drugs for fighting infection.
