Reversing a trend that has resulted in the loss of thousands of local jobs, a St. Louis-area apparel manufacturer has opted against out-sourcing and folded the bulk of information technology operations into its Town and Country headquarters.
The Kellwood Company’s decision will bring 26 outsourced IT positions back to St. Louis. Another eight employees have been added locally to support IT and other company efforts, said spokeswoman Erin Haggerty.
