Solo Cup to buy InnoWare container company

Manufacturer Solo Cup Co. is buying take-out container maker InnoWare Plastic Inc. for $24 million in cash.
The privately held company said Wednesday it will buy the unit of disposable foodservice products maker InnoWare LLC, which is owned by Norwest Equity Partners.

Solo Cup CEO Robert Korzenski said the take-out category is an important one for its customers and the deal will allow the company to expand its offerings and grow faster.
