New Accelerator Launching In Missouri Targets International Entrepreneurs

DSC_0227Missouri has many draws for internationals companies and entrepreneurs. From the Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, to the Missouri Innovation Campus in Columbia and beyond, Missouri offers international businesses many unique world-class opportunities for partnership and growth. Soon the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL) will offer yet another invaluable growth tool with the launch of the UMSL International Accelerator.

The accelerator will launch with the goal of creating pathways for international entrepreneurs to accelerate the growth of their businesses in St. Louis. Entrepreneurs accepted into the accelerator program will be provided cap-exempt H-1B visas, a 12-week enrollment in a business-building curriculum, discounted office space, network development, mentorship and access to capital.

“Entrepreneurship is not a fad – it’s here to stay,” said Dan Lauer, executive director of UMSL Accelerate. “UMSL is growing its innovation and entrepreneurial muscle to take its rightful place in the changing ecosystem.”
