Missouri’s Alcohol Industry Enters A New Golden Age

Missouri is home to more than 100 wineries, numerous craft breweries, and the world-famous Budweiser family of beers. And Missouri gives food producers rapid access to global markets, extensive distribution options, a friendly regulatory environment and a diverse customer base.

But did you know that Missouri is growing its craft beer production and becoming known worldwide for whiskey once again?

Urban Chestnut is expected to top 20,000 barrels of craft beer this year. And Holladay Distillery, established in 1856, now has a global whiskey presence and J. Rieger & Co, established in 1887, just came back after a prohibition-caused long absence.

And we can’t forget our wine industry where wineries such as Stone Hill blend history with state-of-the-art winemaking. And, eight years after the InBev acquisition, Missouri-based Anheuser-Busch remains a force.
