Missouri Health Services Companies Are Growing, Creating New Jobs, Serving More Customers

Missouri-based Centene Corporation and Cerner Corp. are seeing tremendous success and are demonstrating the limitless potential of health services companies in Missouri.

Centene Corporation has recently become the largest provider of Medicaid health care plans in the nation adding more than one million members in 2015. This has led to a projected revenue growth of more than 60 percent for 2016.

Centene is located in St. Louis, Missouri, and this year opened its $25 million service center in Ferguson, which employs about 200.

On the other side of the state, Cerner Corp., which has an economic impact of more than $1.2 billion in Missouri’s Kansas City area, announced that it expects to hire more than 13,000 additional employees when its south Kansas City campus is complete.

The first two towers in the 4.7 million square-foot, $4.45 billion Cerner Trails campus, reached their top heights in March of this year and are expected to be finished by the end of 2016.
