Applebee’s International is moving its headquarters and 390 jobs to Kansas City from Lenexa, the first big counterblow by Missouri in a cross-border business-poaching feud.
Lured by a more than $12.6 million state and city incentive package, the restaurant chain is moving to an office building at 8140 Ward Parkway from its current quarters at 11201 Renner Road. Until recently, the Ward Parkway building had been occupied by once high-flying NovaStar Financial.
