Kansas City gets a big IT job training grant

makethumbnail-2The Full Employment Council announced Thursday that it is one of three agencies nationally getting “coding bootcamp” funds to provide job training in information technology.

Agencies in Kansas City, Minneapolis and Louisville are getting funds channeled from the White House Office of Science and Technology.

Kansas City’s $500,000 grant, received through the Missouri Division of Workforce Development and U.S. Department of Labor, will be used to combine classroom instruction with on-the-job learning.
