After nearly two years of insisting they “hang in there,” Google Inc. is recruiting Kansas City companies to test a Google Fiber small business product. Kansas City will be the first city to test the product, which Google said still is taking shape.
In coming months, Google will conduct a pilot program in which it will connect its high-speed network to a limited but unspecified number of area small businesses. The search giant sent an email inquiry to various businesses in Kansas City asking whether they’d want to test the product in exchange for feedback.
