GM says it’s on schedule for production of new pickup in Wentzville

makethumbnail-4With the arrival of 5.7 million pounds of stamping press components delivered by barge and heavy lift truck to its Wentzville assembly plant, General Motors announced Thursday that it was on schedule to begin production of the new mid-size Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups in Wentzville this fall.

The Wentzville plant is ending production of light duty full-size vans but will produce the new Colorado and Canyon pickups alongside heavy-duty full-size vans starting later this year.
