BioGenerator investment lures North Carolina biotech startup to St. Louis

insight77Edison Agrosciences, a biotech company originally from Durham, North Carolina, announced Monday it plans to relocate its headquarters to St. Louis.

To help facilitate the move, the BioGenerator and Missouri Technology Corp. have invested $800,000 into the startup, which expects to add about half a dozen jobs in St. Louis.

Edison Agrosciences, founded in 2013, has developed technology to increase the levels of natural rubber production in sunflowers.
