Baxter International Inc. and Nycomed said Tuesday the Food and Drug Administration approved the surgical sealant TachoSil, which is used to control blood loss.
TachoSil is manufactured and patented by Nycomed, a privately held Swiss drug company, and is currently available in more than 50 markets outside of the U.S.
