Aerospace & Defense Company Continues Growth In Missouri

Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technology LLC, an aerospace and defense company, announced plans to add 450 new jobs to its Kansas City, Missouri, manufacturing plant in 2018. Most of the new jobs are expected to be in the advanced manufacturing industry ranging from welders and machinists, to inspectors and electrical technicians.

“Honeywell has a proud history rooted in Kansas City,” said John Ricciardelli, president of Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technology. “Since the opening in 1949, we’ve been recruiting highly skilled people from the region for our national security mission. Many multigeneration family members have enjoyed long, successful careers here.”

With an average of $10.5 billion in prime and subcontracts awarded each year to companies located or performing work within the state, the DoD has a large impact on Missouri’s economy. Defense contracting directly affects more than 600 industries and more than 25,000 businesses in Missouri, with Boeing leading the way.
