Advanced Training and Technology Center Set To Open Doors In Missouri

Missouri-based Crowder College and the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the Workforce Investment Board of Southwest Missouri, have teamed up to create the Advanced Training and Technology Center in Joplin, Missouri. The Advanced Training and Technology Center will provide students with advanced skills training that is not available at other area education centers in order to provide Missouri companies with the best employees possible.

The Advanced Training and Technology Center will offer adult education programs focused on five labor fields: advanced welding, computer network systems, advanced manufacturing technology, computer-aided drafting and community health.

The center will offer accelerated courses available to candidates with any level of experience with the goal of having individuals receiving a certificate in any of the five areas within one semester. It is estimated that more than 750 students will partake in the program over the next five years.
