screen-shot-2016-12-07-at-9-02-33-amAll month long Missouri Partnership is taking a look back at 31 of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from the past year. Today we are taking a look at Solid Gold’s grand opening of their new headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri.

On November 11, Solid Gold, America’s first holistic pet food brand, celebrated the grand opening of their new 6,000 sq. ft. headquarters and first office in Missouri.

“With our Kansas City Animal Health Corridor making up more than 56 percent of the world’s total animal health research, diagnostics and pet food sales, Missouri is at the center of animal health innovation,” said Gov. Jay Nixon. “Solid Gold Pet’s decision to join Missouri’s growing community of animal-focused companies further solidifies our global leadership in this industry while creating high-paying jobs for families in our state.”

Missouri gives food producers rapid access to global markets, extensive distribution options, a friendly regulatory environment and a diverse customer base. And pet food companies with their North American headquarters in Missouri generate almost $30 billion in revenue each year.
