Washington University gets $14M in stimulus for genomic data center

Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis has received a $14.3 million grant through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to expand its data center for genomics.

The project is expected to create more than 350 jobs, including 200 in local construction, and accelerate the pace of genomics-based discoveries, the university said Wednesday.
