The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that Thistle, Inc. a manufacturer of marketing products, will invest more than $1.9 million to increase operations in Owensville. The company’s expansion is expected to create 16 new jobs.
Missouri Thistle, Inc. (doing business as Thistle and Thistle Vinyl) was established in 1981 as a manufacturer of leather and canvas products when the demand for wallet inserts made from plastic appeared. The company eventually shifted its production interests to customized vinyl products and transitioned again to create eco-friendly versions of its products.
