Tech giant Cisco reveals more details about Kansas City’s “smart city” plan

Silicon Valley giant Cisco revealed more details about its agreement with Kansas City, Missouri, as well as information about the companies helping it implement its “Smart+ Connected Communities” and “Living Lab” projects, initially announced June 4, 2015. According to Cisco, the execution of the first phase of the “Smart City” initiative in downtown Kansas City will begin later this year. The Project will include a Wi-Fi Network, a visitor and resident app, “smart lighting” and more.
