Since 1992, Mark Sutherland has led communications in corporate, agency, government and non-profit environments. Mark was born in Scotland and grew up in Farnborough, England. Today he serves as the Chief Marketing Officer for Missouri Partnership, based near St. Louis, Missouri.

Prior to Missouri Partnership, he has been behind the microphone, in front of the camera, authoring books and articles, and representing non-profits, organizations, and corporations in all aspects of communication. His work has supported companies and organizations around the world including Monsanto, BASF, the Scottish Government, the British Government, the St. Louis Regional Chamber, the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership and the Cortex Innovation Community.

During his career, he has been recognized with 42 awards for professional communications. He is an active volunteer, and has been recognized by both President Bush and President Obama for his volunteer efforts. Mark also serves the United Kingdom as Her Majesty’s Honorary Consul of the United Kingdom to Missouri, and in 2016 was appointed a GlobalScot by Scotland’s First Minister, joining a team of 600 Scottish “ambassadors” around the world. Mark serves as an FDI Steering Committee Member with the World Trade Center St. Louis, an Executive Committee Member and PR Lead with the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo and a St. Louis Mosaic Project Steering Committee Member.

He holds a BS in Global Leadership and Management from Washington University in St. Louis.
