PC World blogger likes St. Louis for Google fiber project

St. Louis has applied to become a test market for Google’s experimental ultra-fast fiber optic Internet service, and a PC World blogger thinks the Gateway to the West would be a good place to start.

The proposed broadband network’s 1 gigabit-per-second speed would be 100 times faster than the Internet access most Americans have today, according to a video posted on Google’s blog by James Kelly, product manager on Google’s infrastructure team.
