New manufacturing company to set up shop in Harrisonville

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that Staying Home Corporation, a manufacturing startup company, will set up operations in Harrisonville. The new company is investing more than $1.8 million to start operations in Harrisonville, and is expected to create 55 new jobs in the first two years of business.

The founders of Staying Home Corporation recognized a need for products and services that improve safety at home, work, and school. The company designs and manufactures hideaway bulletproof storm shelters capable of withstanding F-5 tornados. Staying Home also offers tablet controlled surveillance systems, as well as mobile assistant devices to increase independence for seniors.
