#MoreMissouri 2020: Food Solutions Company Cuts Ribbon on New Facility in St. Joseph, Missouri

Missouri delivers more than you expect. In Missouri, you’ll find more of everything. More global industries. More diverse assets. More affordability. All month long, Missouri Partnership is celebrating “more” by taking a look back at some of Missouri’s biggest stories in economic development from 2020. Today, we’re checking out LifeLine Foods’ investment in Missouri.

In September, LifeLine Foods, a food solutions company headquartered in St. Joseph, Missouri, cut the ribbon on its new $12 million masa flour mill. The expansion allowed LifeLine Foods to “aggressively compete” in the masa food category.

“LifeLine is positioned for extensive growth for the next five years,” said LifeLine Foods CEO Kevin Kell. “Looking at and leaning into key consumer market trends has helped shape our growth strategy. The capital investments we made in our specialty mill a year ago, which produces Non-GMO Project Verified and USDA-certified organic products, as well as our now completed masa mill expansion, are evidence of listening to what the market is telling us for growth.”
