Missouri Wins 2017: Trans-Lux Reshores Manufacturing From China

Today we are taking a look back at advanced manufacturing company Trans-Lux’s decision to reshore its jobs from China to St. Louis, Missouri.

In February, Trans-Lux, a global advanced manufacturing company, announced they would be moving into a new 66,000 sq. ft. facility in St. Louis. The company planned to create more than 90 new jobs at the plant.

“This is a big win for our state and a vote of confidence from the business community,” Gov. Greitens said on Facebook. “In a global economy, we aren’t just competing against other states—we’re in a contest with the rest of the world. I will fight every single day to make sure Missouri is at the top of the list when new jobs are on the table.”
