New Missouri Manufacturing Facility Receives First-Ever LEED Platinum v4 Certification in North America

Carlisle Construction Materials, a leading supplier of energy-efficient building products and solutions, announced its newest polyiso manufacturing facility in Sikeston, Missouri received the first-ever Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum v4 certification in North America for a manufacturing facility. 

LEED is a globally recognized symbol of excellence in green building. The LEED Platinum v4 certification is the highest standard for building energy efficiency designated by the U.S. Green Building Council, according to the Company’s press release.

The facility in Southeast Missouri delivers up to a 38% improvement in building performance while generating over 10% of its energy used through renewable solar power. It was designed and constructed to maximize energy efficiency and reduce carbon, demonstrating Carlisle’s commitment to sustainability. According to its corporate website, “Carlisle Construction Materials’ focus has always been on innovation – to solve problems, improve performance, reduce labor; and above all, improve sustainability of our products, processes, and plants.”

Carlisle Construction Materials invested more than $100 million in the nearly 500,000-square-foot production and manufacturing facility, which opened in June 2023.
