Missouri gets $21M to build online health insurance exchange

Missouri has received almost $21 million from the federal government to help build an online exchange through which the uninsured could buy health coverage.

On Friday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced $185 million in grants to 13 states and the District of Columbia to establish individual health insurance exchanges. The exchanges are part of federal health care reform, which requires all Americans to have insurance by 2014 or face penalties.
