More Missourians have jobs than ever before, according to the latest jobs report released by the Missouri Department of Economic Development. Missouri gained more than 15,000 jobs in the month of April bringing total nonfarm employment to a new record high of 2,816,200 people employed, beating the current record of 2,810,700 people employed, which was set in 2008.
Missouri has seen its nonfarm employment rise by more than 37,100 jobs over the past year, and has had an unemployment rate below the national average for the past 23 consecutive months.
