Midwest Research Institute has received a U.S. Department of Defense contract to provide support services for national defense research against chemical and biological warfare and terrorism.
The Kansas City-based organization said in a release Friday that it has provided the federal government with chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive, or CBRNE, expertise since the institute was founded in 1944.
