KC named among top cities for tech startups

Kansas City landed another list touting its tech stature.
The City of Fountains landed among seven cities in “Screw the Valley: A Coast-to-Coast Tour of America’s New Tech Startup Culture,” written by journalist Timothy Sprinkle. The book details cities outside of Silicon Valley that not only show promise for tech startups, but offer a superior landscape for growth.
Sprinkle, who has written for such publications as Wired and Entrepreneur magazines, notes Kansas City’s low costs, telecom history and the Kansas City Startup Village, among others startup components.
