Health Innovation Company Expands, Adds 80 Jobs In Missouri

Thermo Fisher Scientific, a biotechnology product development company, announced plans to expand its manufacturing facility in St. Louis, Missouri. The 64,000 sq. ft. expansion represents $50 million in capital investment and will add 80 new jobs to the region.

“Biologics have the potential to benefit millions of patients around the world,” said Michel Lagarde, president of pharma services for Thermo Fisher. “Patheon Biologics, with this expansion, will be better equipped to meet the needs of our customers and ultimately the patients who rely on these life-saving therapies.”

Missouri’s health innovation industry employs approximately 50,000 highly skilled individuals within more than 3,500 companies, while also being home to some of the most prestigious hospitals, medical schools and health companies in the world.
