Handmark Inc. is helping Freedom Communications Inc. develop mobile device applications for its group of newspapers and television stations.
The Kansas City-based software company said in a release Tuesday that it put out the company’s first app, for the Orange County Register, on April 2. The free program is available on the newspaper’s Web site and features top stories, video and photos. It can be customized to show certain news topics or blogs.
