Gov. Nixon helps celebrate opening of new Joplin manufacturer Cook Portable Warehouses

Gov. Jay Nixon visited Joplin today to highlight the recent monthly jobs report showing that Missouri added more jobs in 2014 than any year since 1997, and to celebrate the grand opening of Joplin’s newest manufacturing company, Cook Portable Warehouses.

Joined by Joplin Mayor Michael Seibert, Gov. Nixon and company leadership cut the ribbon to celebrate Cook Portable Warehouses’ new manufacturing facility. The company’s expansion to Joplin includes a capital investment of more than $2 million and is expected to create up to 80 new, good-paying jobs over the next 12 months.
