Global hardware distributor expands footprint in Sikeston creating 70 new jobs

Missouri’s transportation, logistics and warehousing industry continues to grow, as Gov. Jay Nixon was joined today in Sikeston by local leaders and company executives in announcing plans by Orgill to expand its facility there by more than 250,000 square feet. The hardware distributor and home improvement retail services company also expects to add more than 70 new jobs to its Sikeston workforce.

Headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., Orgill is the world’s largest privately-held independently-owned hardware distributor, providing retailers across the U.S. and in more than 60 countries access to more than 75,000 products and industry-leading retail services. The company built the 795,000 square-foot state-of-the-art “Mid-America Super Center” in Sikeston in 2009 after consolidating two other facilities in Illinois and Tennessee.
