General Motors Co. will build an all-new GMC Canyon pickup in Wentzville

The midsize Canyon joins production plans at Wentzville, where GM is investing $380 million to build that pickup and an all-new Colorado. GMC officials would not say when the Canyon will be available to customers.

Last month, GM ended production of the Colorado and Canyon at its Shreveport Assembly Plant in Louisiana, which it is closing. Sales of both trucks are up so far this year.
