Emerson said Monday that it has a contract with Wind Turbine & Energy Cables Corp. to supply utility-scale power inverters for a 30-megawatt solar power plant in Webberville, Texas.
Emerson didn’t disclose the value of the contract as a supplier on the $180 million Webberville project, which is expected to generate enough electricity to power 5,000 homes. Emerson’s power inverters convert DC power from solar arrays into AC power that is applied directly to the electric grid.
