Registered Apprenticeship programs enable employers to develop and train their future workforce while offering career seekers affordable paths to secure high-paying jobs. Registered Apprenticeships can also help employers:

The Zumwalt Apprenticeships Program is one example of Missouri’s innovative approach to apprenticeships. The program, recognized by Missouri Governor Mike Parson, integrates high school education with hands-on industry experience. This initiative allows Missouri students in St. Charles County to engage in practical training across various occupations, including commercial cabinet assembly, machine operation, and health support services. 

Participants receive classroom instruction alongside real-world experience, preparing them for successful careers. Notably, students are registered with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Recognized Apprenticeship Program, enabling them to earn college credits toward certification through St. Charles Community College. This program addresses the skills gap in technical jobs and equips students with the competencies needed for the workforce.

Seyer Industries, a leader in military and commercial aviation flight subsystems and ground support equipment, was honored by the German American Chamber of Commerce with a National Apprenticeship Award for its well-structured, holistic approach to the development of apprentices. The company’s new apprentice training center, “The Seyer Learning Center,” demonstrates its strong commitment to creating valuable career pathways in the U.S. through German-style apprenticeships.
