DED designates KC location as certified site

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that a Kansas City location has been designated as the state’s fourth Certified Site.

Chosen by DED’s Certified Site team, the site will provide Kansas City and Jackson County with a competitive advantage in attracting 21st century jobs. The 314.26-acre CenterPoint Intermodal Center, Phase 1 site, located at MO-150 Hwy and Botts Road in south Kansas City, is a portion of a larger 1400-acre industrial development consisting of six separate development areas adjacent to the existing Kansas City Southern Railway (KCS) Intermodal rapid load/off-load facility on the site of the former Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base.
