Columbia gets second industrial ‘certified site’

Missouri Department of Economic Development Director David Kerr announced yesterday that the state designated a 107-acre tract of land in northeast Columbia as a “certified site,” which bills land as ready for industrial development.

The undeveloped land at the northeast corner of Waco and Paris roads, known as the Sutter site, is Columbia’s second certified site. The nearby Ewing Industrial Park received the designation in May 2009 and was the first such site in the state.
