Boise Cascade Co. is expanding in the Kansas City metro area.
The Idaho-based company is opening a distribution center in Lee’s Summit at 221 N.W. Chipman Road. The 25,000-square-foot warehouse sits on 10 acres and also includes a separate 2,000-square-foot office building.
Jeff Steele, west region manager for Boise Cascade, said the company will hire eight to 10 employees to work at the facility, which is to open in September.
