BioMerieux, a French-owned medical diagnostics firm, has built a lab at its Hazelwood manufacturing center it says will foster quicker research and development of drugs.
The lab of the future, as BioMerieux calls it, is the first of its kind in the United States, the company said. Another exists at the company’s headquarters in France.
The lab features lab automation, robotics and efficient lab space designed to improve clinical disease diagnosis and treatment. Essentially, the company said the lab can do more with less and in a shorter amount of time.
