Automotive Manufacturer Invests $62 Million In Missouri Plant

Toyota recently announced plans to invest $62 million at its Bodine Aluminum plant in Troy, Missouri. The investment comes as part of Toyota’s larger investment of $750 million across five U.S. plants.

“These latest investments represent even more examples of our long-term commitment to build where we sell,” said Jim Lentz, chief executive officer for Toyota Motor North America. “By boosting our U.S. manufacturing footprint, we can better serve our customers and dealers and position our manufacturing plants for future success with more domestic capacity.”

Toyota said the investments at the Troy plant will provide equipment that allows it to produce an additional 864,000 cylinder heads, used in every Toyota and Lexus manufactured in the U.S. The Troy plant’s 900 employees currently produce more than 3 million cylinder heads a year.
