It’s no question Missouri attracts world-class companies. Part of what makes our state great for business is the successful companies that are already based here. These top employers help shape Missouri’s business climate and contribute to its growing economy. After surveying 45,000 workers at companies with more than 5,000 employees, Forbes and market research firm Statista compiled the 2023 list of America’s Best Large Employers. 14 companies based in Kansas City, Springfield, and St. Louis made the list, including Burns & McDonnell, O’Reilly Automotive, Inc., and Emerson Electric. During our research, we discovered six of these Missouri employers also made Forbes’ 2023 list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity as noted with an asterisk.
