10 Missouri companies make 2015 Fortune 500 list

“This year’s Fortune 500 marks the 61st running of the list. In total, the Fortune 500 companies account for $12.5 trillion in revenues, $945 billion in profits, $17 trillion in market value and employ 26.8 million people worldwide.”

Nine out of the 10 Missouri companies to make the 2015 Fortune 500 list are based in the St. Louis area. They include: Express Scripts at No. 22; Emerson at No. 120; Centene at No. 186; Monsanto at No. 197; Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) at No. 273; Peabody Energy at No. 398; Jones Financial (Edward Jones) at No. 426; Ameren at No. 438; and Graybar Electric at No. 445.

Springfield-based O-Reilly Automotive also made the list at No. 381, jumping nine spots over last year.

Emerson, Centene, RGA, Edward Jones and Graybar Electric also moved up compared to last year.

Fortune ranks companies by total revenue in their respective fiscal years.
