Nerds’ paradise: Downtown KC attracts 100-job tech firm expansion

The Nerdery, a fast-growing Minneapolis-based technology company, will add 100 high-paying jobs and make a $4.3 million capital investment in downtown Kansas City during the next five years, the firm announced Wednesday.

The company, which develops custom interactive technology to solve clients’ business needs, employs 33 at the Western Union Building, 100 E. Seventh St. It moved to the building a couple of months ago and recently leased the 25,000 square feet on its third and fourth floors to accommodate the expansion.
