Interstate 49 between Kansas City and Pineville will become official today.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public celebration and sign unveiling at 12 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Joplin Middle School (7501 E. 26th Street).
Federal, state and local government officials are expected to take part, including Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Missouri).
