Missouri hospitals prove why the Show-Me state is amongst the best in healthcare

Missouri Hospitals proved why the Show-Me State is amongst the best in cutting edge healthcare. Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis led the way as it was named to the US News Best Hospitals Honor Roll for the 23rd consecutive year, ranking 10th this year. The Honor Roll features 17 Best Hospitals that scored near the top in at least six specialties.

Barnes-Jewish ranked nationally in 14 categories, ranking 8th in pulmonology, 10th in nephrology, 11th in neurology and neurosurgery, and urology; 12th in ear, nose and throat; 13th in endocrinology and opthalmology; 14th in cancer and cardiology; 15th in rheumatology; 17th in gynecology; 19th in geriatrics and 20th in gastroenterology.

12 other Missouri hospitals made this year’s list of “Most Wired” hospitals published by Hospitals & Health Networks, an industry trade magazine. The list recognizes health care organizations for excellence in IT. The 12 Most Wired hospitals from Missouri include four from the Kansas City metro area and two apiece from the St. Louis region and the greater Springfield area. The full list can be seen below:
